Our Analysis & Ratings
The Helinox Table One is a lightweight and sturdy small side table for your camping travels. It’s a bit of a niche product due to its size, weight and price, so it’s not for everyone, but it’s functional and designed well as a backpacking table.
Performance - The Helinox Table One is one of the best ultralight camping tables on the market and is very stable for its weight. It handles a high load capacity of 110lbs without topping, collapsing or breaking. It’s able to bend and stretch, which helps it avoid buckling. This can be a bit disconcerting for some, but a corner can handle about 29lbs before it falls over, which also helps it remain upright on uneven surfaces.
Construction - The Helinox Table One can be a bit confusing to set up on the first go, but nearly all parts are guided into place by pre-attached bungee lines. Other than that, the construction is very durable, being able to hold a lot of weight. The aluminum frame is a hollow-tube design, which actually provides greater strength than solid aluminum. The tabletop is polyester mesh, which can get damaged from sharp objects and heat. While it can handle weight, its lightness lends itself to toppling in the wind.
Features - The table has two cup holders in the top. Both the carry pack and the tabletop are machine washable, which is really handy if you spill anything.
Portability - It’s very light at 1.5lbs and comes with a 4.5x4.5x16in carry case that has handles and loops for you to clip onto gear.
Versatility - While sturdy and can handle weight, it’s not a table for cooking due to its size as well as the fact that the fabric can melt. It’s more of a side table for a coffee or for your kids. Due to its lightweight and hooks on the carry case, the Helinox Table One is great for short backpacking trips.
Overall - For a high price, it’s a small and lightweight table, but there are other options.
