Our Analysis & Ratings

This bag has more features than a Swiss Army Knife! It can be folded out into a doona, has specially designed holes if you want to hang your arms out and dual zippers. While this is a great all-round bag, we just thought it was slightly overengineered, which made it uncomfortable in the traditional sleeping bag configuration.

Comfort - We found it less comfortable than some others in a traditional sleeping bag position because of its inner fold.

Construction - Quality materials, including ripstop 20/30D shell waterproofing. Has a lower down fill at 390g. Overengineering in the construction means it is less effective as a pure sleeping bag.

Features - The Marmot Yolla Bolly 30 zips out to form a doona, it has a nonslip pad on the back, studs so you can hang your arms out, YKK anti-snag zippers and it comes with storage sack. It has no neck draft tube, though, and has extra, loose inner fold material that we didn't like.

Size/Weight - Packed size of 16x8in and weight of 2lbs 7oz. Lightweight due to lower fill but that translates to less warmth.

Versatility - This bag is one of the most versatile sleeping bags we tested in terms of configurations and could easily be used for camping or hiking.

Overall - Great if you like lots of different configurations and need a light sleeping bag but we found it to be less comfortable than more traditionally designed sleeping bags.
