Our Analysis & Ratings

If there’s one tent that we think resembles the perfect design for pure hiking, it is the Nemo Dragonfly. Its quality features make it even more interesting considering its featherweight and large vestibules. A few materials aren't top-of-the-line, and the tapered design affects the space, but these minor things leave no room for portability.

Comfort - It is quite long but narrow and tapered at the foot, which is a bit bothersome because it lessens the space.

Construction - Upon using it, there was no major problem with the structure. This tent has both weight and features that meet in the middle. Using lower-denier fabrics and lightweight aluminum poles suggests a lighter weight but lower strength. It has a fair amount of features that can still hold up to the elements.

Features - The Nemo Dragonfly has large vestibules and five generous internal pockets, which are all excellent features that make it a liveable space for long hiking trips. This tent is set up easily with 2 poles.

Size/Weight - You can easily carry this lightweight tent at only 3lbs 2oz with a packed size of 50x12cm.

Versatility - We recommend this tent for hiking and longer trips that are particular on weight. The tapered design diminishes space and can be uncomfortable for camping.

Overall - An excellent choice for pure hiking and long trips.
