Our Analysis & Ratings
If you’re looking for a simple and easy table to take with you camping, the KingCamp Camping Folding Table is pretty great. It’s not a dining table, as it’s not overly large, but it’s handy as a side table or small table to prep food on while away and easy to clean and pack down once finished. It also comes in large sizes, such as a 4–6 person version for the family to eat on!
Performance - The table is quick to assemble as it has no tools required to put it together. Simply swivel the brackets to fold and unfold the legs. It’s quite solid and stable, despite being made from aluminum, and can support up to 176lbs — although, sometimes it doesn’t seem like it would, but this is a decent amount for the size of the table. It opens to 19.6x25.6x25.6in, which will fit a few kids or a laptop and book for working while camping. Just make sure to always lift it when moving, rather than dragging it sideways as it may topple over.
Construction - The KingCamp Camping Folding Table is made from natural, UV-treated bamboo, which is water- and scratch-resistant and easy to clean. The legs are made from anodized aluminum alloy, which makes it more lightweight than steel. Just don’t put anything hot directly on the top. The four bamboo slats have a buckle design for quick assembly and fold-away for easy storage. Keep it out of the weather to prevent the bamboo from molding.
Features - Each of the four legs are adjustable and can be set to 17.7in, 20.5in and 25.6in height for both different uses and different height users — just not quite high enough for when standing. The legs have anti-slip pads for stability on ground tarps and the legs also have safety locks to prevent little fingers from wriggling them out of place. The instruction sheet could be easier to follow.
Portability - The table weighs 9.3lbs, which is a decent weight for its build, even more so than some aluminum tables. It’s easy to carry, though, in its carry bag with two thick straps, all packing down to 5.5x4.7x25.6in, which is definitely maneuverable. We’re just not sure how long the carry bag will last.
Versatility - The size of the KingCamp Camping Folding Table makes it quite versatile. It’s not large, meaning it’s not a family dinner table, but it can be used as a portable picnic table, for in the house or for camping, fishing, 4WD, at the beach or RV travel. It’s great for different terrains, too, due to its sturdiness and adjustable legs.
Overall - While a bit pricey for the size, the KingCamp Camping Folding Table is sturdy, adjustable and great for camping.
